Squid Game touches on so many topics - societal inequities, poverty, systemic oppression, capitalism, how malleable the human psyche is, how much our environment shapes who we are, how conditional “goodness” is. Its a ghastlier variant of the Standford experiment. It also depicts how women are considered the lesser gender, how “foreigners” and immigrants are ridiculed, how old age is considered societal nuisance.. i could go on and on..
